MTS StartUp Hub and StartupDrive will pilot startups together

According to the agreement, residents of the 5G Center will pilot projects at Gazprom Neft, while solutions from the StartupDrive accelerator will pilot at the MTS. StartupDrive startups will become residents of the 5G Center in order to complete their products in the next generation networks.

Each of the parties is ready to invest up to 500 thousand rubles in a startup pilot. Potential financing of one project is up to one million rubles. The MTS StartUp Hub and the StartupDrive accelerator will exchange startup funnels, share experiences and information.

StartupDrive accelerator selects startups in the fields of transportation, logistics, mobility, gas station infrastructure and retail solutions. We have expanded the range of potential interests of MTS to Fintech, the IoT, innovations in retail, ticket services, online stores, cloud services, HR and Esport.

“The first 5G MTS Startup Hub startup release took place this summer. Companies adapted their solutions for new generation networks and refined them to the stage of piloting and business application. MTS received the first 5G license in Russia. The next step is the widespread piloting of technologies. The partnership between the innovation platforms of MTS and Gazprom Neft will allow startups using 5G networks to test their solutions in a business environment for the first time in Russia and to get large customers in the future,” said Dmitry Kurin, Director of the MTS StartUp Hub Center for Innovation and Investment.

“Business development and scaling gives startups stability and new markets, and corporations using technological solutions open up new opportunities, including new partnerships. Now the boundaries between market areas are fading: all segments and areas of business apply IT solutions,” said Konstantin Musatov, Head of the StartupDrive accelerator. “Together with MTS, we are joining forces for a deeper study of certain technologies for businesses using 5G networks, and to accumulate expertise in related areas.”
